Paul Draper’s second solo EP, EP Two, released on 25 November 2016 via Kscope Records, features the lead single “Friends Make the Worst Enemies” and explores themes of relational conflict and emotional regret through a mix of rock, electronic, and acoustic elements. Produced by Draper at his home studio with contributions from Catherine Anne Davies (The Anchoress), it was mixed by Paul “PDub” Walton and mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road, serving as a bridge to his 2017 debut album Spooky Action.

About EP Two
EP Two, Paul Draper’s follow-up solo EP, was released on 25 November 2016 through Kscope Records, building on the momentum of his debut EP One earlier that year and marking his continued re-emergence after a 12-year hiatus from music following Mansun’s 2003 split and their 2004 compilation Kleptomania. As a precursor to his full-length debut Spooky Action, the EP delves deeper into personal introspection, with lyrics addressing themes of betrayal in friendships, unspoken resentments, and the pain of waiting in limbo, reflections drawn from Draper’s post-Mansun struggles, including the band’s internal conflicts and his own period of isolation.
Critically, EP Two received positive notices for its emotional rawness and melodic hooks, with Prog Magazine praising its “darkly compelling narrative” and Louder Sound noting how it “teases the progressive ambition of what’s to come.” It bolstered anticipation for Spooky Action, contributing to Draper’s growing solo fanbase. Several tracks from EP Two later appeared in live sets during Draper’s 2017 UK tour, with remixes (like a Public Service Broadcasting version of the title track) released separately.
